After reading through the manual to figure out the 300D's confusing controls, decided to take pictures! I didn't buy this camera for the green square. Av and Tv really got on my nerves; so far not getting them to do exactly what I want. Been playing in Manual mode and figuring out the settings. I finally balanced my exposure levels properly without relying on shutter speed. (I made a lot of blurry shots at 0.3 shutter speed.) Finally realizing I didn't have the flash on either.
Here the last two shots I took that I got just about perfect with my final settings. The only post-processing I did was to fix the white balance/color in Photoshop. Both pictures had a blue tint to them because I was using the wrong light setting.(I could have sworn it was set on flourescent!)
Both shots taken hand held.

I am quite happy with the clarity of these pictures. Any settings tips that could possibly make them better? (Outside of composition! They're just random objects.

No wonder Av/Tv where making me insane. I was doing everything inside in the dorm under flourescent lighting. Thanks!
