would like some criticism on some work i did today.

I'm just curious why you have so little flower and so much background in 1 and 2? To me, it minimizes the impact of the flower in the frame, making it seem like it's an accident it's there. I think with #1, I'd try to fill the frame more with the flower itself. Pretty much the same with #2.

#3 is cool. :)

Just my 2 cents, though.

i was shooting with a 70-200 and i did a bunch of other full frame as close as i could, but these came out better detailed and wanted some contrast in the background.

wish i had a macro lens :(


i also shot these and a few others for my mom and relatives, my mom likes this kind of style where the background is blurred, subject isnt centered, and its real close, but not taking up 100% of the picture.

You gotta know your audience. If that's what mom wants, then it doesn't matter what I think. :D
