Has anyone had any experience with these types of photos? I'm really keen to try them, but would like some tips and advice on how to produce them.

AutoPano (external link) is great for stitching. Every questions imaginable has bee answered more than twice on the AutoPano forums: here (external link)

You will make your panorama shooting life much easier if you:

- get a panoramic tripod head
- use manual exposure and manual white balance
- allow copious amounts of overlap between images
