New Canon 55- 250 IS

IS was on (and still noisy) and yes flash was used (just the popup)..almost dark and no tripod, handheld so perhaps that added to the quality not being as good. Not a great way to compare...maybe I'm expecting to much for the situations I am in

Post processed pictures always look better (why bother otherwise?), but the original is good already.

Yeah, at 187mm and 1/30s the IS is already compensating for 3 stops. My keeper rate drops when I get to 1/50s or below even with IS so you're doing pretty good or you're more steadier than me :)
