I thought I would share these of the A380 taken on my day at Farnborough. Oh boy was that sky flat, grey and uninteresting :(

All full frame, uncropped ~ that plane is massive but so very quiet.

Just so awesome! I cant wait to hear from my dad, the day he sees it during his travels. (He's a pilot for Continental) and he goes to a few places that it may be at at the same time so I'm anxious...

D300 w/ a couple of lenses and flashes.
Shoot Nikon, but wouldn't mind a few Canon things

Nice shots - to create some depth if the sky is grey, convert to B&W and then boost the contrast.

Yes, when it goes 'global' other large carriers are going look & feel kind of small ~ having said that I wonder how I would feel knowing I would be due to fly in what amounts to flying passenger ferry!

I rarely make B&W conversions so will have to make time to try 'this'.

Thanks, #5 does have the message in it when you realise that you can see two 'decks'

3 & 5 without question for me as well. It's a shame the weather was so poor for you, but she still looks mighty impressive.

I've shot her twice from the ramp here in Vancouver, first time it was snowing - so it was rubbish, haha, and the second time was rain, as usual!

Damn, that thing's enormous AND ugly! Thanks for giving me some angles I haven't seen yet.
