I went to a Pow Wow today with 2 other POTNers.

I came away with these shots. What do you think?

Beautiful! Love the bright colors. I like them all, but think No. 5 is my favorite.

Very nice Chris!

The colors are fantastic.

You captured some great expression and action with these.

5 & 6 are my favorites.

Beautiful colors and shots, Chris. Between the rodeo and the pow-wow, you have a full western going ;)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Thanks, Mo!

Add the Civil War shoots into the mix and it's quite a scene! :D

Great set Chris. I love how vivid the colors are.

Were there any photography restrictions there? I've wanted to attend a Pow Wow near here, but there are strict rules of when one can and cannot take pictures.

Very Nice Shots!!!

I was thinking the same question...the restrictions that I have seen @ the Pow Wows that I have attended even stated that you could only make one print for personal use blah blah blah...they watched me like a hawk the entire time I was there....and managed to get some AMAZING shots...I will have to dig them out sometime and share...

Thanks Robert & KJ.

Almost no restrictions. In fact, there are NO restrictions except occasionally a particular event would happen and the announcer would announce, "No pictures, no pictures at all right now." It only happened once while we were there.

Otherwise, there were photogs everywhere snapping away.

Good thing the announcer let you know when. It's the same here, only during certain events it's not allowed, but the schedule online seemed to show that those events took most of the day. Looking forward to seeing some more Chris.

Gorgeous colors. These are beautiful photos. I would try a different crop on the first two. I think the composition could be better. #1 I would crop out the woman on the left as there is not enough space for her.

#2 I would crop on the left right in front of the headress. Just my humble opinion.
