I like your site design.

I think in the small box on the right you should have the photos rotate on each page load so it is not the same image as the one in the background (I think the background should remain static).

I also think you should combine the HOME and the ABOUT page. The home page has nothing but a quote from someone else and does not explain what the site is. The user might not know what they are going to encounter on the site and the home page does not explain it; you're likely to lose those visitors. I would put the About information onto that home page. I would also add some links to your most popular photos or galleries on the home page so new visitors can jump straight to the most interesting content.

Love the layout and presentation! Very jelous now since that is something I have been trying to build for a while.

Gallery is nice but seen it a few too many times. Works well none the less. :)

Have to agree with 'TheHoff' about the 'home' page - the quote from K.R. is not telling anybody anything about you or your photography IMO. The 'about' statement could be expanded slightly and used instead?

Nice gallery with some nice images :-)

The link you posted goes here:

Which has a Ken Rockwell quote on the home page. Are we looking at the wrong site?

Hadn't noticed that, but yes - the URL you give re-directs to: http://www.digitalfocus.nl/ (external link)

EDIT - It's not re-directing, you have quoted this in your post - the URL doesn't match the text on the page... ??? Your website (external link) is completely different!

Haha, interesting thread so far. Here are my critiques:

- The grey text on the black background (Exhibitions, Contact, About pages) is impossible to read.
- The Exhibitions page feels very empty and nothing is even "clickable" in it.
- I do like the way you have laid out the gallery pages (though it looks like you might be a little limited in expansion of categories if that is a future possibility) but the images were slow to load in the Conceptual section for whatever reason.
- Grey bar at the bottom goes all the way across thepage which is inconsistent with the width of the grey header.

My .02. :)

thanks for the comments, now that i look at it, the bar at the bottom is really distracting.
