I hope you don't mind the comments - I feel a littel guilty as anyone capturing lightening deserves a round of applause. And your captures are very cool.

But horizons in the middle of these frames doesn't work for me. I am not sure where to look...at the sky? or at the grass??? The use of the bales of hay is excellent and does a great job on the landscape one of leading your eye into the lightening, but I would jsut love to see more of the sky, to get a reall appreciation of the broodinng mature of the storm.

Just my opinion mind....

Thanks for the comments on the crop. I made some changes to the original... basically just cropped them to the 1/3rd.

Great job on capturing lighting.

Did you reduce quality in order to post for the web? Especially looking at number 2, there's no detail in the bales. I don't know if it's because of how you were focused or during your post process. I think #2 has the potential to be AMAZING, but it just doesn't look sharp.
