What is a good lens to get for a Rebel xTi for going to an NFL Game? I might be able to get on the field and want to have a decent lens. What do you suggest?

Aug 11, 2008 16:18 | #7 I'd sell the XTi and buy a 40D + Sigma 100-300 f/4 EX. Then you have a better camera and a great sports lens. The only problem will be if you get into low light situations where you need f/2.8. Then I'd suggest either the Canon or Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 lens. John

Before you make too big plans or spend any money, have you checked about any limitations on photography? I can't think of a much more restrictive organization than the NFL. Do you mean field level or the football field? Look into the specifics so you dont get skunked.

I'm assuming this is what your referring to.
