Well after buying and selling like 4 bags now..From the phototrekker AWII, 7 Million dollar home, and Lowpro vertex 200, and my original Canon 200AG.
I got the Lowepro Mini Trekker bag with a Lowepro 2S lens case that attaches on the side of the bag...Everything in my gear fits perfectly..Its a nice small bag what i wanted and weighs sooo much less...I finally can stop buying and selling bags.

My gear

R7, 7D, Canon RF 14-35 f4L, Canon RF 50 1.8 STM, Tamron 70-200 G2, Canon 100-400LII, Canon EF-RF

Only 4 bags? You got off light! :) I'm on bag #11 now and still don't have my needs completely covered. Glad to hear it though.

I'm assuming you're putting the 100-400 in the lens case?

With your 70-200 mounted is there any room? I"m still looking for a bag that will fit my 400 5.6L mounted that doesn't look like a rolling suitcase on my back.

Funny you should post this now. I've spent the last year and a half looking for a bag I can go hiking with and finally got the mini trekker last week. I also went the phototrekker route but it's just far too big for walking around with. Now I just use it for storage.
Would recommend the Mini Trekker to anybody.

I agree in only 4 tries wow!! That is like a gold medal for speed in bag selection. I must have 6 or 7 (I refuse to count) that I use on a semi regular basis.

Enjoy,

Your short lived satisfaction:evil::evil::evil: <insert evil laugh>.

The external cases are a good idea to make it so you can add or take away a piece of equipment as you require.

See how many bags I went through in my reviews. I'm still unsure sometimes and I know I want a backpack still for certain occasions.

Only if you stop buying and selling any other camera gear. Add a pack of lens tissue, or a small screwdriver, and you'll be looking again.

I got PLENTY of room for small accessories in the top zipper pouches. Plus I dont need anything else. I am done. I spent enough and have enough stuff for being just a hobby and dont make a dime off it.

Ah, that old familiar refrain. If you can stick to it, you'll be doing better than 99.99% of the people here . . .

Famous last words :)

Great that you found a bag so painlessly! I have five new bags in the past month that I'm testing out...but my biggest problem is that I don't have ONE set of needs so multiple bags are always going to be a fact of life.

ehhh..been there I just got rid of 2 lenses cause I know I will never use them. The only thing I plan on changing is gonna go from a 1DII to a 1DIII at Christmas time. That wont make any impact on bag storage though.
