Who takes those photos anyway?

So who takes those photos you see all over the place anyway, from grocery store ads to kids photos in large posters at Target and other department stores to direct mail?

Anyone have a clue or care to share ideas and how to get a gig doing that sort of photography?

Commercial photographers. Some stuff might be pulled from stock websites.

Haha, funny you should mention that, I was in a class where the photographer said that he sold a bunch of images, and a lot were of his family (sister), and with her permission they went up on stock.
A little while later she walked into Target and saw her kids all over the store.

u can start off with small stores that have online stores, i used to take stock images for a online sneaker store.

I wonder if there are specific stock companies, Probably the big ones, but which ones stores most often use for these types of stock photos?
