A Rose in a Fountain

I was wandering around a nearby public garden today, playing with the 500D Close-up lens. While I was walking, I stumbled upon this rose floating in a little fountain.

Taken with the 18-55mm (non-IS) kit lens; probably the only decent shot I've ever gotten out of the kit lens without the 500D attached:

With the texture of the fountain and the water, I was going to try a selective color process. But while I was trying to remember how, I was sliding down the saturation, and loved the soft look of about 20% saturation:
