Hi guys,

I have been offered to buy a Sigma 28-105mm lens for my Canon 40D. I am relatively new to photography and the only lens I have are the lens kit ones that I got when I bought the camera. Can someone advise me if this is worthwhile buying, what kind of pictures will I be able to take with it etc.
I want to get into macro at some stage and was told that I can take macro shots with this lens.
Hoping for some expert advice.
