However, Mother Nature had other ideas. This one was taken somewhere above Grouse Creek on the second or third day of the Telegraph fires. I thought it sort of looks like Mordor. It was a very interesting hike. Luckily my sister-in-law is a Calif. firefighter and was monitoring the fire carefully. Luckily for us it skirted the park but I heard later many lost their homes. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
