Howdy all! I recently took a whirlwind trip of Europe a few weeks back and I have been a tad lazy lately, in posting up pictures. We hit Ireland (dublin), France (paris), Italy (Florence, Chinque Terrre), Germany (Dachau, Munich), Austria (Halstatt), and Turkey (Istanbul)

I brought my XTi, gripped, with 2X 8 gig extreme III cards, 24-70 2.8 L, and 70-200 2.8 IS L, and a Macbook carried in a Lowepro Fastpack 250.

I learned a ton about travel photography including...
The brick is heavy as heck. You get used to it eventually but 3 lbs adds up when you are hiking steep mountain trails!!
24mm is BARELY wide enough for landscape/travel shots. In hindsight, I would have rather brought a 17-40 f4 or a 10-XX
I used the 70-200 ONE TIME during the whole trip. I got some shots of a street hockey game in Paris, I have no doubt that it can deliver excellent shots, but its cumbersome and a very specialized lens.
Travel Light

This was my first foray into the world of post processing, (all pics shot raw, and edited in DPP) I wonder if i over did the color/contrast, C&C welcome!

I love the variety here. I too travel alot and the Sigma 10-20 is a lifesaver. You might want to look into that option !!
