I'm a newbie to photography, so any c&c on any aspect of this pic (composition, lighting, dof, pp, etc) is very welcome.

What are the strong points & weak points about this macro? Any suggestions for improvement? I have a tripod on order, and I'm hoping that will help improve the sharpness of my shots.

Thanks!

30D, Canon 100mm f2.8 macro, natural light (no flash), Photoshop CS3

Nice detail. Exposure and white-balance look good. However, the leaf is blocking part of the critter and the left antenna wanders off the image. A touch more depth of field might be helpful.

I too feel that more DOF would help.
