I wish I could get Canon to give me equipment, I'd feature it throughout my new book How to Write a Digital Photograpy Book for Fame and Fortune...

You need to get my new book, “How to get a manufacturer to give you a free camera so that you can write a book on how to write a book.”
;)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

The answer to your question is because they can't make any money from photography so they write books. lol. Honestly. It doesn't really matter. Worry about the pics, not the camera.

Good, Canon owners make money from photography and Nikonians make money writing books!!!!

but do they really need a Nikon camera to write a book?

Yes they do, you see - if they would have a Canon they would love to take photos more than writing books.

The picture taking process for Nikonians drives them into authoring books - can't blame them really ;)

Probably because most authors have decades of experience, which goes back into the film days- when Nikon was king, as others have stated.

Would Bryan Peterson be as credible if he shot with a Sony alpha? LOL

Would his points be any less valid? ;)

I have been lending photography books from library for the last 6 months to learn about photography and I have never seen any book author using Canon camera.

All these authors were using only Nikon. wondering why?

Perhaps because Nikon is better.

This is argued into the ground all over the world every day I reckon.
For various reasons including AF systems, Canon is a lot better for sports, and I haven't ever seen a person in the media using a Nikon at a sporting event. Why bother getting a camera (Nikon) that is only specialised in still objects, when you can get an all-purpose camera that does the job very well?
