Is there a way to improve this pic??

Or to have shot it differently? I was on full manual, shooting just after sunrise so the lighting wasn't horribly harsh yet. I guess ghost crabs (not sure that's the technical name) are difficult to photograph? They're quick little things, too!

I would just give it a tweak of contrast.I like the muted colors

Hi! In my opinion there's not much you can do now. Except for colours and contrast, but even that isn't very necessary.

I know these guys are very, very quick and shy. But it would have been a more interesting picture from up-close and the front. But that's afterwards. Try shooting them when the sun is going down and get levelled to the sand. If there are some more you could get an interesting picture from a different angle. I also wanted to try that once! :p

I never even thought of that, actually! I had the 70-300mm lens on, so it wouldn't have been a bit deal to get level with the sand and get a decent close up. I'll have to remember that. Sadly, it'll be next year till I get to try again, but hey...lol. Thank you!
