I'll be away from my computer for over a month (desktop), but I plan on traveling with my camera and shooting as much as I can. Can anyone recommend a storage unit that is compatible with CF cards? Thanks!

I've been using PSDs from hyperdrive.com for several years without any problems. My current PSD is a Colorspace. It is fast, convenient and holds a charge for well over 60+ gb of downloads. You can get a bare unit or a populated one of you choice. They are great products.

I agree with Jim. I have had the original HD80 and Space models and currently use the Colorspace and Colorspace O. They have fantastic battery life and are extremely fast and reliable.

I've got a Colorspace O (case only) coming tomorrow. UPS guy came today but nobody was here to sign for it.

I think this is the best bang for the buck presently. I find the Epson's are way too pricey, bigger, heavier and the battery supposedly doesn't last very long by comparison. But you do get multimedia and a sweet screen on the Epsons...

I picked up a 120GB sata laptop hard drive locally for $67, so even after shipping I'll still save about $20-30. But YMMV.

That unit looks pretty sweet! Price is not bad either, especially considering it has a large screen and multimedia capabilities.

For what reasons did you do this?

My Wife and I recently returned from two weeks in Alaska. I shot about 5000 photos on my 40D and my Wife shot about 1000 on her G9. We took two ColorSpace units with 250 gb of memory in each. I downloaded all files onto each ColorSpace (I like redundancy). We used about 125 gb of the storage on each. Download speed was good as was battery life. I have since copied one complete set of files onto my home computer. I can report that the ColorSpace units performed well with no hiccups or problems.
