Getting ready to push the buy button.

For the owners... what are your thoughts about the DT? I've read a few posts on various sites about the reflective material coming apart. Anyone had issues with this?

It looks to be a great tool... just curious about what you all think.

Thanks ,
Hatch

Hello Hatch,

I posted a similar thread recently.

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=545571

Also, when it comes to getting solid info on Elinchrom gear, Frank Doorhof is a very reliable source. He is a member here and also runs his own forum. That's typically where I go to ask about Elinchrom products.

It's exactly like the small octa except the beam of light is narrower.

For example, if a photographer uses it as a mainlight on a subject there will be less light spill on the background since the beam is narrower. The deep throat is more efficient than the small octa for projecting soft light at a farther distance.

Elinchrom's quality is very good. Simply set up the softbox and fold it into the case like an umbrella. Setup is reallly quick once you get used to it...Remember, softboxes are just another tool. Eventually they wear out just like everything else. I don't think Elinchrom is any better or worse than the other quality lighting manufacturers.
