that will depend on your budget :), but as general recommendation the higher priced Pocket Wizards and the Elinchrom Skyports (get the universal set) are the better deal although kinda expensive they are reliable.

cybersyncs if you are low on budget; pocketwizards, elinchrom skyports, radiopoppers if your wallet is feeling better at the moment.

With the Elinchrom Skyports, do you need to purchase anything else for the Canon 430EX?

I tried to bounce my flash off the ceiling once. Left a mark on the ceiling and broke my flash.

You need something to connect the Skyport receiver to the flash:
Cable with a mini jack for the Skyport & a hotshoe for the flash.

I used the cable with the Elinchrom connector for that, with an old "pc to hotshoe " I had.

I have the Alienbees CyberSync transmitter and battery receiver, and I like them. I haven't had a single misfire with them yet, but then again I haven't used the transmitter and receiver over 10 feet apart.

Get a hotshoe adaptor (external link), they work well with my 580EX. You can also buy separate skyport receivers (external link) if you need to trigger more than one flash.
