This is the 1938 Delahaye 135 MS by Figoni & Falaschi.
It is perhaps the single most valuable entry from the show.

Admission was only $25 for the event. I was more than happy to pay the admission price for a chance to drool over such automotive finery.

Appreciate the compliment.

Owner is The Petersen Collection, as in Petersen Publishing, which includes Motor Trend magazine as one of their holdings. They had stewards to look after the car, but the stewards were not very knowledgeable on this beauty. Actually, Wikipedia seems more knowledgeable than the stewards.

I'm led to believe that Delahayes such as this may be valued at $3 million to $5 million US.
