Lowepro Photo Runner V Inverse 200AW

Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting a new bag for travelling. I'll be taking a 28 day trip through south east asia and will be on and off planes and boats and also doing some over-lan transfers.
I'm looking for a bag this will comfortably hold necesary gear for day trips and is easily accessible and easily carried around and as such am looking at either the photo runner or inverse 200AW.

Gear that I would be looking at carrying would be:
5D with battery grip
24-70 2.8L with hood (reverse mounted) - I usually have this lens mounted
70 - 200 2.8L IS (can leave hood at home if it is too cumbersome)
50m 1.8 (could leave this at home)
580ex
8 spare batteries (in a case)
Vosonic storage device
gepe 4 card carrier
polarizer filter

I haven't deided yet but I'm thinking of taking either a small tripod or a monopod

can anyone advise if either of these bags would fit all this gear?
i like the idea of the all weather cover and detatchable shoulder strap on the inverse and can also add pouches to it using slip lock but not sure if this is the same on the photo runner.
I haven't been able to see either of these bags 'in person' yet so am judging from information I have found on the net.
any comments, suggestions, ideas?

Sorry no one has responded to this thread. I am looking at the 100 myself, but I'm not convinced it's worth the money. Shoulder bags are a lot more comfortable and easy to put down.

Ha, ha, well I just got the inverse 200, and it won't fit all of your gear. I found that it could hold my 40D with the 70-200 2.8 IS attached (horizontally), but after that, there's limited space for anything else.

That's good to hear because I do have a 40D with 70-200 2.8 IS and that's the one I'd put in there.

Maybe the FastPack series? I just bought one and used it a lot in July - love it.

Had my 40D, 100-400, 85 1.8, 10-22 and sometimes one other lens usually in the bottom. Top had plenty of room for a layer or flashes, batteries and bits...I have the 250. Laptop slides in the back or you can put maps, magazines or another pouch filled with cords, batteries etc in there easily.

Thread bump alert

Got the 100AW on Friday. Took it out for a walk yesterday with my 20D, 28-75 Tamron attached and 70-200 f4L stashed too. Cosy fit, you wouldn't get much more in the main compartment. 1.4x telecon in one water bottle pouch, blower in the other. Sorted for a couple of hours walking local trails / parks then to the shopping centre with thorpesmum, without having to lug the mini-trekker on my back on a hot day. Used with the supplied shoulder strap as thorpemum thought I looked like a tw*t using it in bum-bag / fanny-bag style

I was after something small to suit my 'core' outfit when the backpack is not convenient or when I don't want all my kit, but something that could also be used round my waist in addition to the mini-trekker (esp. when I am out photographing rallies with all my kit) to have selected gear more easily to hand.

I'm reviving this thread since so little is available on these bags. I bought a photorunner 100 a couple of weeks ago and use it as a waist pack. It's terrific. It is so small and unobtrusive I forget I have it on, but I can get a 5D with a 70-200 F4 on it and one other lens--barely. If I want to change lenses it is right there at my waist. I have actually come home and sat down at my computer with it still on (forgotten about it). I threw the neck strap away.

actually, there is nothing to show. It's a fanny pack about the size of a loaf of bread, and the whole top unzips. I just lay my camera in it, with the lens on, so that it is touching one end, and put one of the dividers in at the far end and it will give me a pocket just big enough for an average size lens (say a canon 17-40 or Tamron 28-75). Hope that helps
