I posted these 8 shots in the image sharing section and got next to no feedback on them.

Hoping I can get some feedback here. Quite simply it was a rainy day (local floods type rain) and I was playing around with a lens. Very dark day with all the rain, we had to turn the lights on in the house at 2PM !

The flickr gallery is here (external link)

These are not pp'd apart from the RAW conversion (WB and NR) not even crops, they are framed how I shot them. Help!

Hi there,

Let me start out by saying I think the "point of impact" pic was the best of the bunch. The rest of them seemed a bit dull and drab to be honest, although the weather's mostly to blame for that. Unless you have your own lighting you can only work with the lighting that's available and my harddrive's full of pics which just don't work.

I do like your captions, they're very creative, but if I were you I'd wait for better weather. Reflections are often interesting though, so if it's doing nothing but raining you might want to see if you can find some interesting puddles to look into :)

Your non-rainy day pics are definitely much better, nice and crisp looking.

Hope this helps,

Jo

Only the first two images seem to have any real potential, but they are very nice.

Don't you think it's a bit much to ask people for detailed critiques on so many pictures at once? I personally would rather critique one picture per thread, as it is more fair.

No, people are under no obligation to CC them, they do it voluntarily, nobody would click the filckr link unless they wanted too, and its in the thread title that these are 8 similar images.

People can give useful feedback on the overall style, or just one image or all of them if they want too. Nobody has a gun to their head for CC

I guess I failed in trying to make my point.

It would seem to me that anyone posting in this forum is primarily looking for Critiques and Comments. I have always believed that you will get more C&C of a higher value, if you submit one or two images rather than several.

I could be wrong - just a suggestion.

Agree with Robert... One picture at a time is going to bring you more comments. It does not help that one has to navigate to another site to see the photos.
Try it the way it was suggested, you will get more responses.
