Phottix Cleon C6 Wireless Remote (Canon EOS DSLR Rebel Series)

Hi,

I just ordered the Phottix Cleon C6 Wireless Remote for my Canon 400D.

I wanted to have a wireless remote which can be easily used from the back of the camera as well. IR often means that you have to be in front of the camera. The Phottix C6 uses radio. In some occasions I knew I'd be using a wired remote as well. The Phottix Cleon C6 has both options! I saw a video of it and made the decision to buy it.

I wonder if there are any other users here and what your experiences are.

I just received my Cleon C8 a few weeks ago and found it works very well. The C8 is the same as the C6 except it was made for the x0D series, other than that they function the same.

It works as advertised and I love the fact it mounts on the camera's hotshoe. The only minor issue I have found is the half press of the remote is very sensitive, but it takes a little more force to fire off a shot. This could be unique to my remote also. Also the size surprised me, it was much smaller than I thought.

Overall a nice product and good price.

Have you tried to see what kind of range you can get with it? I purchased a "Yong Nuo" remote from ebay and at best so far I've only got it to work about to 30' away. Supposedly should work out to about 300' the ad had claimed.

I'm still waiting!! When I'll get it I'll do a test.

It's supposed to have a good range, but I'm not quite sure why you would like to have an enormous range on your remote. I'm not getting further away from my camera than a couple of feet!

i have the C6 too.. snazzy little remote.. and being able to use the reciever as a wired remote is a great bonus..

i bought it at the same time as my Phottix Timer Remote and scored a deal from ebay.. i emailed to ask how much in total it would be for the 2 remotes plus shipping, and they replied and i think miscalculated.. i bought it straight away after that
