Thanks, Jim. I agree - we ended up setting up the tent in 40+ mph winds between rain showers - 'interesting' - but we got it done. We weren't sure it was going to survive the night but all was well and from then on, the weather improved.

I think both of them have computers set up in different rooms of their houses (which we do) but we're doing most of our posting from our laptops which are both in the living room. We're sitting here eight feet apart...

Yes you can get manual and 4x4. I am not sure you can get a manual 4x4 though. If you can it will be in the GLS base model only. Can't get an SE or Lmtd. Somewhere there is a link that Wooly posted where the santa fe was on of the top 10 (as was the elantra). Hyundai really builds some safe cars. The Santa Fe is built here in Montgomery Alabama. The seats for it are built here in Gadsden (where I live).

I could live with automatic transmission, but do want 4WD. I spend some time (not a lot) in places like Joshua Tree and Anza Borrego and having the 4WD is a plus.
