G'mae all.

Im Baaaaack. Tired, aching, windswept and with over 800 shots to go through (most with overcast skies). All in all, we had a great time I'll share some shots soon when I'm through converting from RAW.

Love this one Jamie!

Thanks, Jim. I agree - we ended up setting up the tent in 40+ mph winds between rain showers - 'interesting' - but we got it done. We weren't sure it was going to survive the night but all was well and from then on, the weather improved.

That's a great story, Jen. Sometimes the children just see thing so clearly, don't they...

TERRI - Book 3 folder, right now. You hear me?

As you can tell, I'm still a long way behind. I'll do some more catching up soon but please forgive me if I miss something!

Thanks!!!!! Children are honest.... and speak more clearly from the heart than any one else.... I'm sorry we lose that in childhood...

It is your pickable nature that draws us to do it, kinda like how the boy who picks on the girl in the school yard who really does like her. ;)

Ya know this afternoon WoolyDan and I were IMing back and forth and I made some comment about all the picking today.... I said at least I knew I was well liked on the threads or no one would've said a word about my absense!

Hi All,

Yes, Lisa it is me. I figured this was the only way to get John to turn off
the computer and come to bed at night.

Hi and Welcome Heather!!!!

Woolburr wrote in post #6158887 (external link)
Hi Heather...joining POTN as a form of self-preservation is a good thing. Just stay out of the gear forums...

Hey you can do like Dan & Lisa sometimes do... carry on conversations here rather than actually conversing at home! ;) I think Becky/Curtis have done that before too hehehehehe

You should be confused...you jumped threads...

We just get you broke in with the Tupperware crowd and you move over here.

I think both of them have computers set up in different rooms of their houses (which we do) but we're doing most of our posting from our laptops which are both in the living room. We're sitting here eight feet apart...

In typical guy fashion...I assumed since you were posting here that you were ok...;)...although you might feel a bit sore come tomorrow.

Any pictures of the damage?

Yeah I'm OK. I think my neck will be sore tomorrow, I am begining to feel it now.

Keep talking about Hyundai like this and I might have to look at them when it comes time to replace the Suzuki. Does the Santa Fe come in manual transmission and 4WD?

Glad to hear you are OK. Do you have pictures?

Yes you can get manual and 4x4. I am not sure you can get a manual 4x4 though. If you can it will be in the GLS base model only. Can't get an SE or Lmtd. Somewhere there is a link that Wooly posted where the santa fe was on of the top 10 (as was the elantra). Hyundai really builds some safe cars. The Santa Fe is built here in Montgomery Alabama. The seats for it are built here in Gadsden (where I live).

I saw a sweet looking hyundai luxury suv (on a commercial)...sadly I don't remember what it was called but the price was quite a bit lower than my nitro...although I don't know if that was base model or what...

Vera Cruz. Very nice vehicle. Competes with the Lexus 430? Priced a lot less.

yep Jamie, that was it! It's a sweet looking SUV (but I don't know where I got that it was less expensive than mine) but still I like how it looks and it's what, about 30K less than the lexus?

and how are you feeling tonight?

I could live with automatic transmission, but do want 4WD. I spend some time (not a lot) in places like Joshua Tree and Anza Borrego and having the 4WD is a plus.
