I'm still working my way through the Labo(u)r Day CSI marathon on the Spike channel that my DVR saved (it's only 38% full now). While fast forwarding through the commercials, I've inadvertently seen a few. Some of those commercials were for a new TV show the Spike channel is promoting. The show is called Manswers.

I want to go on record as apologizing to every woman on earth for that crap. We aren't all like that.

Sheesh... I thought Jimmy Kimmel's "The Man Show" was bad.

Manswers....

What's ewey about a witch's hat?

The town I live in is about 60 miles northeast of L.A. ;)

And, no... I haven't seen that show, either.

I think it was the side of the rode that spooked me a bit:lol:

Off to dinner at the inlaws...............

We're out of hot chocolate tonight.

I've had to console myself with some Blair Athol. Ali took the remains of the chocolate for herself.

uuummmmm Pete, tying the knot with a gal who eats the last of your chocolate? Wow:lol::lol:

I loved "the Tin man!" We bought it because we'd missed it on TV and the first part was so confusing that I almost stopped watching it but then I got into it and absolutely loved it.

Terri, you'd HATE it! Trust me on this.

I was thinking of getting it, but... are there snakes in it?

OoooooooKaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I seriously hope that there's a followup to this - that was a seriously weird ending...

Ah - just searched - it's a three part mini series. Now I've got to find out when parts 2 and 3 are on! Argh!

Oh, and so far, no snakes, but NSFT (see above).

Gaa. The next episode is not until NEXT THURSDAY now! That is seriously not nice - making me wait that long!

On that note, I think it's time for me to get some sleep. G'night.

For those of you who know about my brother, it turns out he did not have a heart attack. His liver is enlarged and he does have some heart damage but it's minimal (on the heart thing) the liver damage is more extensive but can correct itself if he'll stop drinking (it's all drink related sadly). But if he stops drinking, he's not in a life threatening position...if he doesn't....so thanks for the thoughts and prayers

Hope it all works out Lisa, thanks for sharing.;)

Just checking in one last time before I leave for a while ~
I should stop off and get myself a bottle of water ..last time I was so thirsty ..
Hope you all have a great afternoon ..
Lisa I wanted to say I hope your brother can find his way outta that place ..Best wishes to you and yours ..
Funny thing , my dad was a alcoholic and I had the opportunity to ask him why he drank ..His answer ..after years of alienating friends and family ..
" I was lonely" my response was "Are you any less lonely now ? He has a tear roll down his cheek and at that moment forgiveness was received by me to be given to me and .
him ..

Wow Deb, glad there was some closure. Good to see Dadford and Andy. Hope you're doing well.:D

Oh dear.....

I have never been into Computer Games, I don't own any sort of play-station and I have no games on any of my PCs or Macs.

My eldest boy introduced Teresa and I to Rock Band last night. Boy is it addictive, and deadly serious as the following rant proves......

(To keep this photography related, some of these were taken with an EOS 1Ds MkIII L Glass and speedlight 580 and some with a Canon G9 using built in flash, can you spot the difference? )

Very cool, Neil. We're addicted to Rock Band as well, it's a hoot.:D

Ooo. We want to get one of those. We want to get the Wii Fit board with it, too - there's a great looking skiing game that uses it now

We have the Wii and the fit board, seriously lots of fun.

I don't think I want to know about the gorilla head and the "hair..."

I "rolled over" more than one Asteroids machine. When you hit 100,000 points, the score went back to zero. Programmers weren't all that smart back then.

There was another game around that same time that I figured out how to beat. Right now, I can't think of the the name, though... In 1982, I was stationed on the USS Caron. That game was in one of the lounges and a fellow shipmate of mine had also figured it out. We decided to see just where that game "rolled over". We spent an entire weekend playing it on a single quarter, taking turns playing and sleeping. Somewhere in the third day we gave up and unplugged the thing... All I remember is that we were well beyond a million points.

I looked up USS Caron... A Spruance class destroyer; cool! One question, though. She was powered by gas turbines. What did an MM do on there? No steam turbines to work on... Did you work on the jet engines?

We watched it the last time it was on Sci-Fi. I don't remember Heather being creeped out by the monkeys...
