Nice Dan. Say, what's T.D.'s character holding, some sort of a night-night comfey toy thing?

You got a problem with that?

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #6242928 (external link)
Yup! :D It's a little bunny wabbit. :D I'm diggin' his nightshirt and nightcap, too. That bull's prepared.

Well, if you had done your research, you would have known that it should be a Cookie Monster. Just saying.

TERRI!!

My sister (the one who lives here) just came over to visit with me for awhile, and tell me all about her trip to Seattle.

There were 4 girls that went, took a week off and just drove and had fun.

So she's telling me all about her trip and said that her favorite place they visited the whole time was Coos Bay, Oregon!
I told her that I have a really good friend who lives in Coos Bay. ;)

Anyway, so she starts telling me stories... she said that she LOVED it there. Said that the whole town just smiles at you. And everyone that they met the whole time was SO friendly.

She told me to tell you that (at the advice of their GPS system) they drove the scariest freaking 40 mile (3 hour) road over the top of a mountain to get to Coos Bay. She said it was a one lane dirt BLM road.
She said that she was certain that they were going to die before reaching the other side. Do you know the road that she is talking about?

Anyway... so my sister has stayed in CB, and my parents were there not too long ago as well.

Of course, I learn about this AFTER the fact, otherwise I might have had to travel with them.

No kidding here...a family from California did the same trip a couple of years ago in the winter. He died trying to walk out after they got stuck. Sometimes the GPS systems don't recognize roads for what they are.

Yeah, she said that it was the scariest road that she's ever been on. She said that it started to rain when they were towards the end of the road, and that if it started raining earlier, she would have gotten out and walked. No way she was driving on that road in bad weather.
I totally felt her pain... her story sounded so close to the one that I told of our last vacation about the skeery road.

I loved "the Tin man!" We bought it because we'd missed it on TV and the first part was so confusing that I almost stopped watching it but then I got into it and absolutely loved it.

Terri, you'd HATE it! Trust me on this.

 I am creeped out by the title alone!

CAT!!!
I am glad your sister and co. had a good time, Coos Bay is a nice, albeit weird, place.
I do not know the road of which they speak, but Frank and I motor all over our side of the state via roads like that. I really don't recommend them for out of town folk, though  What TD said is true. It was terribly sad.

This is why I still rely on maps a lot... They give a lot better information about the condition of the roads, especially the AAA maps.
