we're home.

When we left he was put in recovery (we weren't allowed to see him today). The fact that he survived the surgery is huge, especially since it was more extensive than they thought. Now it's just how he'll heal (he has diabetes and heals poorly) but he's alive. That's so huge.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. You are all the best!

Prayers continue. SO glad to hear that he made it through surgery.

Thanks for the update Lisa. Set back and relax a bit. I am sure it was a long stressful day of waiting.

Oh my gosh! It must be a Baltimore thing. Wait till I tell my Mom. She teases my Dad ALL the time about mixing up set and sit.

Guess I'll just keep doing this for a while. Lisa's gone to bed and I'm bored.

Keep at it Puds. We like having your thoughts here. :D

I was at the hospital today too Dan, unfortunately my arrival was a bit more emergent but alls well that ends well. It appears I'm a bit anemic tho and I didn't know it.

Geez Crissa! Now I'm all worried about you. Anemia is not a fun thing.

I can't believe I am caught up..... I've had a ROUGH day.... I have 3 boys in my class who are between them a total of 8 boys..... The first boy, we knew was an issue, has been and has been refered for special services regarding his behavior.... at least HE doesn't hit me..... Ok so boy 2 moved into our room from a different room..... he closes his eyes says in English (and Spanish) I'm dead and lays down eyes closed not following directions or anything... SO him we just ignore his 'fits' and step over him and move on... doesn't seem to be like too much of an issue, he is given everything he wants when he wants it at home... but I can ignore Mr. 'I dead' . Well today's child.... HE takes the cake... in the sum total of 4 hours... I was kicked more than 10 times, I was hit more than that.... and I was screamed at high decibel range..... ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH this child is had to be removed (by me aka pick up and remove) from the block center... not once but twice because his fits involved throwing everything within arms reach.... aka thick wooden (SOLID) unit blocks.... THEN had to be peeled out from under TWO tables.... because he was CLIMBING every piece of furniture in the room and proceeded to JUMP over one piece of furniture and a child...... So this afternoon when I'm discussing this with his mother... SHE IS ALLOWING HIM TO REPEATEDLY HIT HER!!!!!!! OMG I'm fighting a LOSING freaking battle when a parent openly allows crap behavior like that. And then she has the unlitigated gall to say to me "Oh I was afraid he'd do that to you" and then proceeds to tell me that he has done this at all his previous child care centers.... Then she gives me the story of each of those centers that for various reasons (never his behavior mind you ) OMG I'm exhausted and so freaking frustrated that I want to bend this mother over my lap and wear her butt out for allowing her son to behave like this AND not telling me about it ahead of time!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy NOODLE woman! Crazy kid issues aside, you MUST learn to separate your sentences into smaller paragraphs! I had the hardest time reading that. LOL!

Hi Heather ..how has your day been? good I hope .

Hi Deb Other than the one child, I had a fun day. I like being in the insect house and right now there are lots of baby insects. It was slow on the part of visitors, so I spent several hours watching the Leaf Cutter Ants work.

Hope you had a good day.

I did well. There wasn't a single casualty in the room. I behaved myself.

Later, Lisa and I went to Red Robin wherein I destroyed their profits for the day.

ROFL! Well done, Dan!

Turk, I decided not to post in your thread because I have no expertise in sport shooting. I will say, however, that I liked the first one for the perspective, it 'felt' good to me *shrug* The rest look fantastic to me, for whatever that is worth ;)

We went to Belize a few times and I was fascinated by the multitudes of insects. At night between the frogs and bugs the noise was incredible. The leaf cutters are called Wewe ants down there. They literally clear little paths where they walk. Tiny little paths beat down to nothing but dirt.

Amikah is SO going to cost me vet bills some day.

We were outside playing, and I threw the ball for her. She is SO focused on the ball, that she can't think of anything else.

I threw the ball in a direction she wasn't expecting, and she ran into the tree. HARD. She bounced off it, fell on the ground and just cried.

Geez. Stop my heart.

She got up and couldn't walk, was limping bad.

I went (ran) to her, felt her all over to see where she hurt, and while I was trying to see if she was seriously hurt, she limped over to the ball, picked it up and gave it to me. Then limped/ran like she was ready to catch it.

I told her no, and that we were done playing. Geez.

She's fine now, barely limping at all... but I think she's going to be sore tomorrow.
