I think the power switch on my cameras were used to turn them on the first time...don't know that they have been used since.

The only time mine goes off is after a sensor cleaning so the mirror drops back down. :D

They were nuts...we lived right on the river...so we often went down to the water to play fetch...they loved it when you would throw them a big stick...they would swim out and grab it...one on each end....but they would always be on opposite sides of the stick...so they spent a lot of time and energy swimming in circles until one or the other would wrestle it away and make a break for shore....just to do it all over again.

Being right by water is a great thing for dogs, lots of great exercise at your doorstep.
Right now I walk Jasper an hour a day, an will have to up that soon, or get some other form of exercise in. In time I will be doing disc throwing with him.

Hi Racquel ..I'd like that lens also :)

How are you this morning? I told my hubby that is what I want for my birthday next month. I would have loved to have had it to photograph that blister beetle. I am so glad I resisted the urge to pick that beauty up or I would be yurting really bad today! :p

Sorry, but I don't remember seeing it, but missing some posts when I am replying to others is not uncommon, especially if I am busy doing other things.

Speed reading, is an art I mastered years ago.... about the same time that I
started making decisions with about half the information I needed to make them properly :o:o:o

Do you know, I was sure I had some too, but I cant find them :-(

But a windmill uses wind power to mill grain. Things that use wind power to pump liquids or generate electricity are not mills.

Renee, I am not normally this pedantic and boring, I have no idea what has come over me..... time to crawl back into that darkened room again ........

Us Merkins are lazy folk, though. For us, that's a windmill too. I'd never even heard the word windpump until this morning.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Why would someone build something so tall and yet so narrow, I guess it stops the kids arguing over who gets the small bedroom as they all must be tiny.

Morning!! Another day, another dollar.

Nice shot, but on my screen the sky looks a little on the magenta side.

Thanks Mark, I will look to see what others thing. CAT - doesn't your Inspiron have a True Life screen. What is your opinion?

It's not as 'perfect for photographers' as I was hoping it would be. I don't mind it, and once I got used to it, I can PP ok. (Though I'm still checking my shots on a different monitor to make sure I did them ok).
I have noticed that it doesn't handle blown areas very well...or even areas that are very bright. It gets that funky gray 'no color information' splotchiness. Do you know what I mean? I don't know if that has anything to do with the true life screen, or if it's simply from being a laptop. My solution to the problem though is to not blow out any highlights anymore. :p

The penguins in Madagascar are hilarious. I like them too.

We killed them and ate their livers.

There should be a rule that anyone growing zucchini should be deported to Siberia.

:p I haven't gotten any zucchini this year, and I miss it. I have the MOST fantastically wonderful zucchini bread recipe. MMmmMMmMmm.

I missed it. There are lots of times when I catch up in spurts, and some things get overlooked. Also, if my internet is slow, the pics won't load fast enough, and I tell myself that I'll go back and look at them in a bit, and then forget.
