I got a good deal on this camera bag for my new toy. But is it okay to store the camera on its side like this? I'd hate to ruin my new toy!!!

That's fine, these cameras are made to hold up to some rough handling. I have had my 300D for about 15/16 months now and I've been VERY rough with it. As long as you don't drop it from a great height, your camera should be fine.

Why not? You could dangle your camera on a string by a hook screwed into the flash bracket mounting hole on the bottom and it would still work fine. :p

Stop babying your camera! Get out there and take some picture! :p
