Took this yesterday....I know it is going to lose some detail in the transfer from Pbucket..but what say you?

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/gif' | Byte size: ZERO | PHOTOBUCKET ERROR IMAGE


I am not concerend about the underbelly of the building, its just alage covered timbers that in the light are not interesting:confused:

I can see now the whites are brighter here...

That looks really nice in B&W Gail. I'm no expert, but the tonal range looks fantastic too me.

Gail,

Hope you don't mind my having a go at it.

Converted your jpg using Gorman Action for PS.
Cranked up the contrast a little
Burned the shadows in the sky and building
Dodged the highlights in the clouds, building and foreshore
Sharpened it up.

I really like genodms edit. the amount of local contrast on the rocks was just too much for me. I like the range in the second edit a lot better. nice image.

White whites, deep blacks and everything in between - great B&W material! The cloud movement is way cool (perhaps even "skookum"!). Nice catch, Flo.
