MotoX - MX1/MX2 International event

I went to our local motox track the other weekend, there was the international MX1/MX2 event on. anyway, took a series of pics, and wondered what people thought.

Where is this track? It looks really nice with the elevation changes, good dirt and great scenery.
What equipment were you using? I would try to get a little closer (if possible) or use a telephoto to fill the frame with the bike and rider. Img 1252 was probably my favorite. Also try more cornering shots; I liked img 1393.

My kit: Canon 400D with kit lens, Sigma DX 70-300. not partic. great lens, would like something a bit faster. they never seem to be as sharp as i would like at 100%. any help/suggestions would be greatfully received!
