sapearl Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 15, 2008 08:41 | #8 The background blur is a good idea although doing it in PS is less effective than had you used a larger aperture. It doesn't look bad, but you can tell it's a PS manipulation as opposed to aperture control. You didn't use Gaussian blur, did you, or if you did you cranked it up pretty high? trailguy wrote in post #6111851 Thanks for the critique. Other's opinions are very helpful.......I kept her clear and purposely blurred the background in my pc. Thanks for the thoughts GEAR LIST

Other's opinions are very helpful. I'm not sure what is meant by 'look at the date--it's not a redo'? I'm pretty sure I did take it in 2005. I kept her clear and purposely blurred the background in my pc. Thanks for the thoughts Thats what I meant, its not like you can go back and retake the photo you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

sapearl Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 15, 2008 15:09 | #13 Know exactly what you mean Matt - reminds me of color tone separations I did back in school. They can be quite effective and very attractive, but unfortunatley appears out of place here. Most people probably would not notice it, but we photogs tend to jump on things like that mattograph wrote in post #6114313 The background looks "posterized" to me. It all feels a little "pasted" together? GEAR LIST
