On the 50mm f/1.8, I get it time to time On the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 I get it frequently I've tried all the basic routines like changing the batt's, cleaning the contacts and memory card swapping but to no avail. Does anyone else have the problem? And what should I do to remedy it. Should I send all my equipment for a checkup? Thanks!

I had this on my 5D when I had a Sig Fisheye. But I've never gotten it with Canon lenses on my 5D. Don't know how to remedy it, sorry. Canon has a list of issues that are corrected with firmware.
