Hi all,

I'm currently in the market for arstrong ND filter.

I currently have the ND 400 in 58mm, but I want to use it on my 77mm lenses...
As I have a cokin P series Holder, the NDX can be a versatil and cheapest alternative than a 77mm ND 400.

So I need your advices about the NDX P serie filter that I don't know, the only thing I know (as I understand/read!) is that it's the strongest ND filter from Cokin.

- Do you have experience about that filter ?
- Is it a good quality filter ?
- Compared to the ND 400 is it a good value ?

Thanks in advance for all you inputs ;)
Laurent.

Hey devil350, I can't believe no-one gave you an answer! In case it's not already too late, I've heard many people are unhappy with the Cokin NDX. The reason is simply that it is so dark a filter that stray light getting in through the sides of the filter holder spoil the effect. For really dark ones you're better off with the screw-in type, as they close off stray light. Alternatively you need to shroud the Cokin holder in tape or something to stop light getting in the sides.
