Irish singers and bands displayed high up on the street in the city
some faces may be well known abroad and will be recognized

its a very wide show of faces right across the street..
but its a nice (and great) idea

work is being done ( under) the side street and other streets around there, at the moment
this was photographed yesterday

regards, Marie

Nice! I like the way the man is looking at the wall and the girl appears to be not even interested.:) A really nice 'gritty' style photo, I like it.

the name is Winston but they call me Sandy

thanks Sandy

I liked that girl with the red hat walking into the scene.. and the fellow with her. he looked back to see when he saw me taking a picture of the wall as its not really noticed unless you come from the direction where I was. hardly ever noticed from the other street where they had arrived from

that street, where the 'wall of fame ' is , slants down slightly........ why it all seems to be going west in the picture lol
its fairly level where I am standing but I wanted a long shot taken that way because of the couple , with them included and part of the wall

its difficult to get a proper shot of that long display as the street is too narrow to be able to stand back.
I'll try again sometime with my 16- 35 lens. I had the Pro1 that day.....
but its not too bad for wider angles needed

its not going too far west here in this shot (the street)

I am really liking this shot, marie! Does Dublin/Ireland have strict photo taking laws like England? Would love to scoot over there someday and take photos...

thanks Pio.
there are no laws against it here. except some places don't want pictures taken , like museums or such . if ever anyone objected , well I wouldn't take pictures. it only needs to be said and its adhered to

regards scooting over....its an 8 hour flight ....after probably four hours or more in JFK, so it would take a bit longer then it sounds
but always worth it *
* (going that way from here too)
lol
its been raining here for days and days and many areas are flooded
fields completely covered in water , they look like lakes now ,especially in the midlands
houses which were never flooded before are now. the rain was so heavy
its terrible for the people who are suffering more then others from the torrential downpours. some crops will be ruined.

this sounds awful ... but otherwise looking at the sheeting downfalls of rain is something beautiful
and the countryside is so green its way out gorgeous
actually today the day had stopped and as we had to travel through the country it never looked so wonderful
I take that back  it always looks wonderful come hail rain or shine
actually everywhere (in the world) does,
so long as we have our health
lol

one of our most famous raw singers ~ Ronnie Drew ~ (r.i.p)
he was buried yesterday. many will know of him... especially in Germany where he sang a lot with 'The Dubliners'
he had an illness for a while now
