I never saw the point of having your helmet hanging on the bars.

The helmet's for when I get up to a higher speed than 10MPH/onto a trail/road with cars.
It's hard to take off your camera when you're wearing a helmet!

It is? I have taken the SD550 out of my belt loop pouch at 80+ mph on my motorcycle.

Real bikers wear helmets. Well, those of us that jump off 10' stairwells at 25 mph and other stupid things do! OK, that was before I had a kid.

When I was racing, the SCCA upgraded their helmet requirements. Someone complained. The reply was, "If you have a $10 head, then wear a $10 helmet.
