Ok so I have a question about the placement of a reflector when shooting outdoors. Say I was under a few trees with the light coming in from the left of me onto the model. I have always heard to place the reflector or fill flash or key or whatever you call it on the right at a 45 degree angle but today I read different. I heard you should be placing the reflector almost directly behind the camera. Is this true? I know all rules can be broken but which is generally right? If anyone understand this thanks in advance for your help :D

I like to put fill right near the camera. A reflector needs to be in the light to be effective.
