Hi,

I have a Manfrotto 128RC head (originally bought for video) but I would like to use this head for my Canon 40D does anyone know if this is the plate I need?
I have tried googling and actually asked manfrotto (no answer)......

TIA

Bluemist.

Based on what B&H says in the Specifications tab here: LINK (external link)

Quick Release/Wedge Plate: Yes, (3157N)

And by the looks of it here:

Im pretty sure this head uses the bogen standard RC2 quick release plates which you can buy fairly cheap from B&H here: LINK (external link)

The plates used to be model number 3157N but recently were changed to model number 200PL-14. Dont ask me why, same plate, new model number, who knows.

No problem, glad to help :)

Not sure about that other pin though, I never had one of those on my RC2 plates. However, from the under shot it does look like its removable.
