I couldn't really focus on the window as the train was coming, but when I uploaded the shot to my computer I was glad to see someone sitting in the front seat :) Next time I'll make sure I take the shot at a slower shutter speed so I don't freeze the train.

Edit: See below for current version of photo.

I think the shot was late, because it would look better if there were more room in front and less room behind the tail end. Also, the train crowds the left frame.

Exposure and color balance look to be excellent.

I'm trying to imagine at what daylight hour there would be so little traffic on a Vancouver street - wow!

Thank you Robert. Fortunately for me this is a slight crop, and the parts I cropped are the parts you want back. When I get home (I'm at work right now) I'll revisit the original, and bring back the areas I cropped off. I'll post again for comparison. Not sure I can remember exactly what I did in post so the processing may not be the same. I'm really going to have to take my post processing to the next level and document what I did.

As for the traffic I got lucky. There are two sets of lights that were holding the cars back as this train came. I'll be hard pressed to repeat that feat next time :)

Ok went home on my break (nice to live across the street :)). Processing was similar, but I tried to bring out the passenger in the front of the train a bit more; along with the grime on the front of the train.

Edit: Yeah even I can see that this is better. Not sure what I was thinking cropping so tight on my first edit.

Yes, I see improvement on all counts.

Very Nice!
