If you could fade the text and sign into the image a bit more, it might look more like it wasn't added afterwards. Maybe soften it a bit, add a bit of grunge and such to it, and maybe a touch of desaturation on it as well.

I was thinking the same thing, but didnt know how to suggest the change. I think that would set it off great and take the crispness away.

Love the shadow!!!

Fading the sign depends on the intent! If you're looking to draw people to a show, it's great standing out...though I would make it a little bigger if I were you in that case...
