Not so much a DIY as just showing you guys/gals my new flash bracket to have the flash next to the lenses.
I used something i had laying around from my old job (performance shop tech) and it looked perfect for being a good bracket.
its a VR6 cam alignment tool, and the cams on a vr6 are offset (ones more forward than the other) so it looked just right for having the flash be next to the lens.
anyway here are a couple pictures since they will be better at explaining than my words 
the camera goes on the left, (right side flash) and the hole in the back can actually be used for a tripod mount as seen in the pics as well
im pretty excited at the moment...so if any one has a VW and bought cams you have a flash bracket
