[I see.
i hate to ask this question but why do u need elemenbts if i get lightroom?
lightroom is good for editing raw images right, insetad of using the canon softweare to edit raw images / crop / border images etc / manage photos /
batch save all that stuff right?
so, do i really need elements 6 if i get lighroom 2?
(quote=T.D.;6121602]No, lightroom is a one size fits all program. It's quite intuitive and relatively straight forward. I use the PSE 6/LR 2 combo myself. It meets all of my needs.
I roll just like TD does -- LR2 + elements 6
The major thing you give up with elements is curves (you have the basic curve, which is fine tuned contrast tool, much like the one in LR) and layer masking -- which, if you have used it, I don't think you could live without it.
I use elements to sharpen images (still not totally happy with LR2 in this regard), soften skin in portraits, add filter effects, remove unwanted stuff.
If you have a good image out of the camera, though, you could conceivably go from RAW to publish without touching elements.
