I don't get a real sense of "speed" though, I think because there is too much blur in the moving parts (they only rotate and do not translate, and the tape itself is shot nearly edge-on). Maybe a little faster shutter or, use the same shutter as above but pop just the tiniest bit of flash to create a ghost of a frozen image of the tape reel and whirring transport mechanism. Sort of dragging the shutter or second curtain - you could even bounce the flash off of a card to diffuse it a little to blend with the nice silky, vellum-like tonality and light in the above image.
