Interesting! I don't get a real sense of "speed" though, I think because there is too much blur in the moving parts (they only rotate and do not translate, and the tape itself is shot nearly edge-on). Maybe a little faster shutter or, use the same shutter as above but pop just the tiniest bit of flash to create a ghost of a frozen image of the tape reel and whirring transport mechanism. Sort of dragging the shutter or second curtain - you could even bounce the flash off of a card to diffuse it a little to blend with the nice silky, vellum-like tonality and light in the above image.

You could also shoot the same shot with the entire mechanism still and then PP the ghosted stationary reel and transport mechanism in as well.

Nice.
