Aug 16, 2008 22:02 | #5 You have a point there. I did snap another after this it was bad quality so I tossed it. There was no finger curling or pulling there either. He was close to our sidelines and we never physically seen it... this is what we saw... he was trying to stiff arm. Ref called it a facemask ... whether he curled the fingers or pulled, because he touched the mask. 7D / 40D / 70-200mm 2.8L / Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 / 50mm 1.8 / Canon 85mm F/1.8 / kenko 1.4 / 580ex

I might add... this is my son, he got an interception and ran it for a TD... called it back because of this. I guess the ref didn't have 400mm eyes and the ability to freeze the action Anke

According to National Federation Rules (NFHS), Rule 9-4-3h states, "No player or non player shall grasp an opponent's face mask or any edge of a helmet opening." In NFHS, there are actually 2 penalties this can be. A 5 yard penalty for "incidental" or 15 yards for "grasping and twisting, turning or pulling the face mask or helmet opening." Kevin
