I had this Nikon magnifying eyepiece on my XTi and it fit perfectly. Now that I've sold my XTi and moving up to the 40D, I just want to find out if it'll still work. Is anyone using it with their 40D? Does it fit snugly and how do you like it?

I don't think the XTI and the 40D has the same size viewfinder.

I'm 90% sure it will fit.

The viefinder in the 40D is bigger, but the outside is the same.

Once I get my 40D, I'll bring it down to B&H and see if they have one that I can try on it. Now to get my hands on a 40D...

I just tried the eyepiece of an XTi on my 40D and they're the same size. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone wanted to try this. I'm off to B&H tomorrow to pick up the DK-21M. No more face smudges on my LCD :D.
