Twice now I've hiked up to this beautiful alpine lake in Glacier Nat'l Park and both times the water has been like glass with heavy cloud cover. Its truly an awesome site to behold.

Thanks for having a look

Nice job. That is an amazing hike. The amount of water in Glacier, and pure variety and quality of the mountain lake scenery really is unmatched.

I really like this shot of Avalanche. Great colors and just the right amount of snow to create a great reflection. This is a great short hike that has so much to offer from big cedars and one of the greatest creeks to hike along. Some of my favorite pics are from this area. Great job!

Thanks much everyone.

Jim its one those hikes labeled easy in the trail guides. 4 miles RT with about 500' elevation gain. Indeed one you don't won't to wait late to start or you just about have to stand in line.

This gorge is at the start of the hike in the cedars mentioned by Brett. Its fed from the Lake in the above photo.

I love the slowed water in that pic. I just learned how to do that his fall. Here are a couple do pics from the same hike (creek shot might be same spot!). The first waterfall pic is from June when run off was still very strong.
1. Head of lake where creek starts.
