Does LR 2 .uninstall LR 1.31?

I am having a problem printing with Lightroom v1.31 and I am considering upgrading to v2.0.

Does LR2 completetly uninstall previous versions or use some of the older program?

Rather than troubleshoot ver 1.31, is ver2. (if I get it) likely to clear up my problem?

LR 2 does not uninstall version 1.x.

Other than stating you have a printing problem you don't say what specifically your problem is so there is no way to tell if LR 2 will fix it.

I had posted a few weeks ago describing the problem, unfortunatly no one was able to offer a soloution.

Essentially when I click on "print" it doesen't print. The print preview window does not show the image.

I have printed many images before and I have made no software changes. I was hoping that LR2 would be a quick fix.

You are only having this printing issue in LR? LR 2 does some things differently with the print module but it sounds like you have a driver/configuration issue and I doubt just upgrading to 2.0 would fix it. Your issue sounds pretty specific and may require a lot of try this and that before you isolate the issue. I would recommend calling Adobe support, this may be a known issue with certain configurations.

Printing issue aside, 2.0 is well worth the upgrade IMO.

I installed lightroom 2 and it didn't uninstall 1.4. I was hesitant at first because I though 2.0 might be a tad buggy. but so far so good, it's going great. now I have to uninstall 1.4....
