Yesterday I downloaded and installed FF 3.01, primarily because it's said to be color-managed and that seemed like something worth looking at.

After using it a bit I began to realize something wasn't right - took me a while to figure out what, though. Seemed as if pictures weren't sharp. Even ones I'd uploaded myself were fuzzy - and larger than when viewed on my computer.

Once I began to think about it I realized the problem: POTN uses a relatively small typeface and I routinely crank it up three steps (CTRL + or CTRL mousewheel) so my old eyes have an easier time of it.

In earlier versions this action increased type size nicely. But FF 3.01 also increases picture size at the same time. Why?

This is not acceptable, IMO - increased font sizes are just as sharp as smaller ones, but pictures expanded larger than 100% get fuzzy. I certainly don't want that on a photography forum.

I couldn't find a switch to make 3.01 behave like earlier versions so today I downloaded and reinstalled 2.0.0.16 and all is now well.

Anyone else had this problem?

DANG! I didn't find that!

I'll have to reinstall and try again. Thanks...

Color management isn't enabled by default either. Type in about:config in your url bar and then navigate to it like so. Double click it and set it to true.

Now if they would fix the Flash issues....?

Or is that just my machine that doesn't work right?

Probably on your side. Try uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

Hmmm. About to reinstall 3.01, but I wish I could install it in parallel with 2.0.0.16 instead of having it uninstall the earlier version...

OK, could someone with FF3.0 or above try:

www.thenorwoodstudio.com (external link) and/or

www.dnorwoodphotography.com (external link)

It looks like I get them up correctly about 50% of the time. Both are BluDomain sites.

Sorry number six - I don't want to hijack your thread. I'll start a new one if you would prefer.

No problems at all, running 3.01 and using the FlashBlock Extension to boot.
